In My Travel Must Haves Part 1, I covered Tide Sticks and collapsible water bottles, along with my favorite dry shampoo, pill case, and sunscreen setting spray. But these definitely aren’t the only things I have on my standard packing list! Through years and years of travel experience (and the mistakes that come with that), I’ve learned what really is worthy of earning a spot in my limited carry-on luggage space. And I’m sharing it with you so you don’t have to go through the same painful learning experiences!
📣These are all 100% recommendations based on my personal use and experience. None of these are sponsors. I have no affiliation with them in any way, except as an avid fan.
Liquid Multiplier

Anyone who’s out and about all day knows how stressful it can be to have all that hydration hit you without an accessible toilet nearby. Plus, no one has time for multiple bathroom breaks when you’re out trying to see all the sights in one day!
Enter: The hydration multiplier! Because while it’s obviously INCREDIBLY important to stay hydrated while exploring a new city, you also don’t want to have to pee every 15 minutes. While I particularly love the watermelon flavor of Liquid IV, any flavor and any brand will do!
Doggy Bag

This is one I didn’t know I needed until… Well, I REALLY needed it. I found myself getting incredibly nauseated on a train and the bathroom was occupied for what felt like eternity. Sweat beading on my head, my brain doing anything to distract myself from the inevitable, I was preparing myself for the worst case scenario and tried to look for anything to mitigate the mess that was about to happen.
Beau to the rescue with the doggy bag! As a dog care professional, he always has these on hands anyway, but they really have come in clutch on multiple occasions. Not only for these situations when you may be getting sick, but also for some other occasions as well, such as:
Keeping small items dry
Dry bag
A shopping bag
Dirty/wet laundry
These are just the ways we’ve used doggy bags in our travel – I’m sure there’s a million other ways it could come in handy! So we always make sure we have a few on hand, just in case.
EarPlanes

If you find yourself struggling with flying because your ears just don’t want to pop or they are incredibly painful to pop, you may consider getting yourself some of these handy little earplugs. Don’t ask me how they work, but you put them right before takeoff and landing, and they help relieve the pressure in your ears! EarPlanes is the brand we have, but there are plenty of other versions out there. You can pick them up at most pharmacies, or online here!
Nasal Stick

Another item to help with head pressure in the airplane is a nasal stick. This little baby packs all kinds of essential oils in it, and you just stick it up your nostril, take a whiff, and you’re breathing clear! Even if you’re not stuffy before a flight, this helps clear up nasal passages so the pressure has a release during take-off and landing on a flight. So if you feel your head getting pressurized on a flight, pick up a pack of these and keep them handy!
They’ve also been immensely helpful as we’ve gotten colds on trips and need a little boost to help us breathe for a bit, or when I’ve gotten migraines and need some quick relief. So even if you don’t have issues with the pressure on the plane, this is worth picking up and keeping in your day bag!
This is the specific one that we use, but there are a ton of other brands out there you can try!
Wrinkle Release Spray

I was skeptical of this when I first got it. How could it work, or be any better than just spritzing water on clothing and letting it hang dry? Well, I don’t know how, but it does work! While I’m not claiming your clothes are going to be looking freshly pressed and runway ready, they’re at least not going to be sporting mountainous creases as if they’ve just flown halfway across the world haphazardly shoved into a packing cube.
And it’s so easy to use. You just spray it on your clothes and then lightly pull and smooth the wrinkles out while it dries! 1000 times quicker than ironing, and much easier to pack than an iron! And this little bottle has lasted me YEARS, so it really goes a long way!
Conclusion
This is just scratching the surface, but these are some of my favorite must haves that make travel easier! Let me know in the comments what are your favorite travel must haves!
